Jim Drew, creator of more 60 commercial products for Commodore and Amiga computers in the 1980's and 1990's and CBM educational/support representative for Oregon from 1983 to 1985, will be coming to the show for a second time. As creator of Supercard+ for Commodore drives and Supercard Amiga for the Amiga drives, last year he talked about his new project, Supercard Pro, among other things.

More details to come,

John Ferrell will bring his Kryoflux and will happily image all original software people bring. He will even create re-imaged originals for the attendees if they bring blank disks. He would actually like people to bring as many originals as they have, so he can archive them.

Here are further details from John -

"I'll have flippy modded Kryoflux and Supercard Pro compatible drives on hand for purchase as well as cleaned and aligned 1541's if anyone is interested.

In the interest of software preservation (SPS), anyone with rare or hard copy protected titles, please bring them with you and I'll be happy to make a Kryoflux dump with a G64 for you. If you'd like a remastered copy, please bring new blank floppy disks. I'll also have some available for purchase.

(My offer applies to 5.25" Commodore 64/128 titles only). I'll have a disk cleaning station on hand and several KF units ready to go.

This includes copy utilities & collections.

Speaking out of turn here, and Jim will correct me if I'm wrong, If Jim has the Supercard Pro's available at the show, bring your Amiga disks as well. His solution can make remastered backups of 3.5" disks as well.

Hope to see as many of you as possible - it will be a great time as usual!"

Anyone interested in hearing tales of the U.S. ESCOM meeting in Philly back in the 1990s? When Petro and company essentially buried the last of the Amiga corpses in the ground? It's been documented and passed around, but I'm told I spin a pretty good tale (this one just happens to be true).

I could also talk about the early days of Dark Unicorn Productions; we did Scorched Tanks, the popular FMV games Tomcat and Desert Apache, Psycho Squares and some others on Amiga.

I'd like to know about the ESCOM days.

I don't know anything about the history on those, so you'd have to bring us up to speed.
