Commodore Is American... AGAIN ???

Post by administrator »

This is a followup to viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1450 but the results are so shocking, I think it deserves its own thread:

___________________________

More domain digging has yielded some seriously unexpected results.

I checked the owner of commodorecorp.com (again) and found it is owned by "Commodore International" in the Netherlands (as expected). This site still does not resolve and is currently dead.
http://www.networksolutions.com/whois-s ... recorp.com

But a new domain www.commodore-evolution.com has the same content as the old www.commodoreworld.com domain and commodore-evolution is AMERICAN! Vision Marketing Inc of Irvine California to be specific:
http://www.networksolutions.com/whois-s ... lution.com

I could find almost nothing on Vision Marketing Inc of Irvine California, so I did a search to find out what other domains Vision owns, and guess what I found... Support Plus USA.
http://whois.domaintools.com/supportplususa.com

Now, you may say to yourself, Support Plus sounds familiar but you just can't place it. Well SupportPlus is a distributor (primarily in Europe) of retail grade electronics, watchs, vaccuums, and oh ya... computers. They were Commodore's distribution channel and in 2005, Commodore announced they were buying them. This is when I personally bought several thousand dollars in Commodore stock.
http://www.commodore.ca/news/2006/02/co ... 79988.html and
http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m ... n15727307/ and
http://www.presseportal.de/pdf.htx?nr=783368 and you may also find
http://www.dickestel.com/articles/comm_int.txt useful if you are trying to figure out which Commodore I am speaking of

A few months later, the deal started to publicly be questioned and Commodre had to produce a press release saying the deal was dead. This was the beginning of the end for new Commodore International of the Netherlands.

Commodore stock quickly halfed in value and continued to slide to the <$.01 it is today on the www.pinksheets.com OTC:

It now appears that Commodore is owned or controlled by Support Plus of the U.S.

WOW... thats a story.

I will ask SupportPlus and some old Commodore Netherland contacts, about SupportPlus' involvment/ownership and report the finding back on our site.

Stay tuned!

Commodore International Corporation (US Company) changed its name to Reunite Investments, Inc. in 2009. See this article. So Reunite Investments is also a US company.

Reunite Investments was owner for 49%.
On 10 February 2010, this (Dutch) press release was published at the Nedfield website (the bankrupt company, formerly known as Tulip Computers, that was the owner of Commodore International).
You can read there that Reunite Investments has an agreement for buying the remaining 51%. The price they will pay for it is EUR 300.000,-

So Reunite Investments, the former Commodore International Corporation, seems to be the owner of Commodore International ATM.

This is a very interesting article, if it's not a joke.
