Commodore.ca: The PET, VIC, 128, 64 & More Forum

Hi guys, first post of many I hope. I just got my hands on a 128d at this point I just want to check it's working, is it safe to (at least try) and connect it to my LCD TV. I ask this as I read some where that the output single is strong (I don't want to fry my TV).

So basically will I be able to get some sort of picture to confirm it's working. I have the box thingy that you connect to PC to TV.

I have researched this but I'm still a little unsure, from what I've read an older TV will work but some new or maybe all new TV can not pick the signal up.

Maybe someone can help me out here.

I'll answer my own question it might help some one. I hooked it up (couldn't wait)had to find out if she worked, yes it did,although the picture sucked.

It was pretty easy. I have analogue mode on the tv set it to auto tune and there was the start up screen. No blown up TV. Loaed a game seemed to work too but the picture was so crap it was unplayable.

Happy its working,have to figure out how to get a good picture.

What is the brand of LCD t.v. that you have?
