Thanks to Jim Drew, I'm pretty much sure I'll be coming! Bringing my new SX-64 baby too! Thanks to the bypass bridge, it gets me there about an hour sooner
Maybe I'll drag some RGR DVDs with me....
Anyway, is this a "donation event"? I'm having difficulty figuring out how much it costs to attend. This is my first one, so I'm still a 'newb'. I'm not sure what ALL to bring, etc.
Thanks again for the invite, Jim. I look forward to meeting you and talking your ear off. Maybe between us, we'll figure out our mutual friend in Oregon

Sure! If you want to sell some of those Retro Gaming Radio DVDs, go ahead.Maybe I'll drag some RGR DVDs with me....
Admission is $10, whether you come for one day or for both days.Anyway, is this a "donation event"? I'm having difficulty figuring out how much it costs to attend.
Bring yourself... bring friends... If you want to do a presentation, let me know. This is my first one, so I'm still a 'newb'. I'm not sure what ALL to bring, etc.

Though FCUG treasurer Dick Estel won't be able to make it to CommVEx this year, he has offered me the use of his Ford F-150 pick-up truck with covered bed. I used it for CommVEx v6, and it is very comfortable and powerful. In addition, that covered truck bed gives more cargo capacity than the 22 cubic feet in the trunk of my Ford Crown Vic. So, if I accept his offer, I'll have more space in which to carry more C= stuff for CommVEx!

Hey everyone, I'm finally booked up for the show (officially).
I'll be there as both "media" (RetroGaming Radio) as well as participant
I've set up a Google Event for the show. This is a cool Google+ feature that will allow attendees to "party together" - your smart phones and tablets can be set to automatically upload pictures and video as you take them and there are a lot of benefits from being a registered "party goer".
I set these up for all my karate studio local and regional events - and everyone loves them. Here is the "flyer" on Events I wrote up for my karate studio. It has all the details and such regarding Google Events:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_GQ ... sp=sharing
If you are in my RGR circles on G+, you should have ALREADY gotten an invite. You can email me directly at [email protected] and ask for an invite and I'll add you to the list. Once you're on the list, you can invite others.
I know many aren't into social networks (I get it) but this makes it really easy from a "press" point of view to collect media and thoughts during the event. Even if you aren't coming but want to see what the attendees are doing, accept the invite anyway.
Here is the official event page:

Again, if you need an invite, send it my way.
Can't wait to hang out with everyone!
