My 128 seems to have a problem with the video chip. It’s been sitting idle for several years because the last time I booted, it came up with an error message on the monitor (a 1902A). Can anyone help? I think there's a way to reset the chip or does it need replacement?
Thanks,
ani

Hi Ani;
It could be a number of things, including the CPU.
Did you look at: http://www.commodore.ca/manuals/Tips/c64_tips.htm

1902A monitor problem
Yes I checked the site. Here's the thing --the monitor (1902A) comes up with an error message. That sort of tells me it's the video chip.
Any help would be appreciated.
