Hi, One 1084S monitor owner's manual, with the black-and-white cover. Happy to sell outright or to trade for the other manual (the one for the color cover). $5 USD plus shipping. This manual is for the version of the monitor that has the squared-off front control area. I think this is known as the ...

Re: PaCommEx 2017 a success! Planning for PaCommEx 2018!
Had a great time at the Expo. Met several CBM 8-bit enthusiasts that I had not met before. Hopefully I'll see many of them at an upcoming Seattle Retro-Computing Society meeting, or at PSCUG. I really enjoyed Noel's presentation on Sunday--very thoughtful and well-executed. Can't wait for the video ...

Re: Exhibits for PaCommEx
Can do. The display machines will be on standard-ish folding tables? And plenty of outlets?
rbernardo wrote:[You could combine that with the C128DCR set-up, and so just bring one system. It would be good to have music playing continually or nearly continually.

Re: Exhibits for PaCommEx
Hi,
I can provide a C-128DCR -- I have owned it since new (1989). LMK if this is of interest.
I can also provide a setup to play stereo SID tunes using a SID Symphony cartridge. I have a small amp and bookshelf speakers.

Re: Near the Living Computers: Museum + Labs
And, perhaps for one meal, if people are feeling a little adventurous, both gastronomically and geographically, Seattle's International District is not too far away and the traffic isn't bad getting there. Lots of great choices SE Asian (especially) choices there. --Kent Other than the eating ...

Re: Guests and presentations for PaCommEx
Robert, I hope you are able to interview Ray Carlsen and present the video during the event. He is such a wealth of knowledge! --Kent While in the Pacific Northwest, on Thursday I spoke to Ray Carlsen. Though he does not want to personally appear at PaCommEx (how humble he is!), he has agreed to do ...

Re: Presentations at PaCommEx
Hi all, Honored to be speaking at the event about the SL-232. Had fun speaking about the SID Symphony at the Vegas event a few years ago. BTW, I wrote several detailed blog posts a few years describing the history of DEL and its products. The easiest way to access the posts is via Facebook: https ...

Searching for a couple of Ultrabyte disk images
Hi, I was recently given a large three-ring binder. It contains a cornucopia of original C-64 commercial and duplicate copy programs. I have inspected it closely and it appears to have been the property of a J. R. Wetmore, nickname "Red". In addition to the commercial programs, he also made a ...

WTB: A few C-64 and C-128 original packages
Hi, I am interested in purchasing the following commercial software packages in original form--disks, manuals, and packaging. If the disks have a read error or two, that's probably OK. I definitely want the manuals and packaging. C-64 Paradroid Zork I, II, & III together in one package (I've heard ...

Re: REU jumpers and function ROMs
Hi again--it turns out that the info I posted above was correct, at least for the version of the REU that I have, with the rectangular logic chip (vs. the square chip). The issue was that the function ROMs I was using to test were coded to work only in the internal socket. I obtained an image of the ...

REU jumpers and function ROMs
I am searching for information and experience about using the function ROM socket in a CBM REU with a C-128. I own a 1750. I soldered in a 28-pin chip socket at the bare spot on the board and have been experimenting with it for function ROM use with my C-128D. So far I can’t get a function ROM to w ...

History of Sidplayer events aka SIDfests
Hi all, I am researching the history of the community that existed around the Sidplayer music editing and player software. I was a peripheral member of it because my company, Dr. Evil Labs, created the SID Symphony Stereo cartridge. I have a somewhat-complete list of the events that the community ...
