Hallo Donni, grappig dat wij via Canada over dit geval zitten te mailen, maar het lijkt mij beter om in Engels verder te gaan zodat iedereen er iets aan heeft, en bedankt voor je input :-) Hi Donni, ok, this is clear about the numbers on the RAMs.... Am i correct when you talk about the video RAMs ...

Hello, can someone please help me to repair 4 mainboards ? Have 2x 2001 , one 4032 and one 4016 mainboards. The 2001 boards do start-up but show just numbers on the screen, the 4032 shows a second numbers the vertical lines, and the 4016 is dead... I am willing to pay for the repair and cover the ...

Help wanted with a PET 64K expansion memory card
Hello, i have a 64K epansion card but can not see how to connect this to a 2001 - 4032 or 8032. Have only the (new) card and one flat cable. On the card itself are also the wired connectors, one with 7 holes 2 closed, and one with 7 holes 1 closed. Think these 2 connectors go on the two 7 pins on ...

Hmm. I'm confused. Sorry, but you're really not being clear enough regarding the symptoms. Some of my questions were intended to see if the computer was actually working, and it's still not clear. 40 straight vertical lines on a working computer suggest either a bad character generator - or even a ...

Hi j1mt3hcop13rwr3nch, Her my answers: Are the "numbers" properly formed, centered, and look about like they should for a PET warm start? A) No random 2) Look closely to see if the vertical lines run right through the characters. Do they? A) No, the characters stay for one sec. then the lines. Are ...

Some holders spring load the fuse against a bayonnet cap and can be tricky to "jam", others with slot screw caps are easier - been known to wrap a few turns of dryer tape around the outer end of the fuse to interference fit it, but neither are solutions. Best to find another holder in the long run ...

Re: Bad sockets on 2001 board
Interesting weekend. been pulling my hair out trying to bring a pair of 2001 boards back to life. One suspected bad main ram, the other the 74244 bus buffers on the CPU address bus or the 74154 rom select mux. 6 hours later the culprit on the latter was pin 18 on one of the rom sockets. it looks ...

I would check Jameco electronics. http://www.jameco.com/ For a fuse cap I doubt it would be anything commodore specific, and used a standard fuse type you will find at Jameco. HI, thank you for your reply, but i tried some fuse caps from other PET models and they do not fit !!! Is there any other ...
