Hi-
I have been working on getting a PET up and running (CBM 8032).
It previously booted to garbage, but I recently replaced the ram and rom via a Tynemouth adapter. It now boots and I am able to write basic programs and appears to be functioning correctly.
However, the image had vertical lines in it (see photos below).
Any thoughts on where I should look next?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Chris

Re: PET 8032 Graphical Issues
I have been reading around, and it seems likely that this could be due to a corrupt character rom chip. Does anyone know where I could locate one of these (does anyone burn and sell them)?
I believe the character chip in mine is: 901447-10
Thanks,
Chris

Re: PET 8032 Graphical Issues
Hi Guys,
Many thanks for both your replies. I shall get together with a colleague at work hopefully today and see if we can resolve. He used to work on them and being older than me is way more knowledgeable.
Just to clarify, the screen worked fine for only ten seconds then permenantly stayed illuminated incorrectly as above, the bars run the entire length and height filling the screen.
I could take some pictures today hopefully.
