Less than 2 weeks until the show and excitement is building! Gather your gear, finish your programming, and get on over to Las Vegas! CommVEx awaits with the best group of computer friends coming from California, Nevada, Oregon, Arizona, Utah, the East Coast, and farther! Plan for an intense 2-day experience... 3 days if you include Friday set=up. Expect more and more updates as the magical CommVEx date nears!

Still recovering from jet lag,

How much is the registration fee going to be this year? Just want to make sure I have some cash on hand without having to hit expensive casino ATMs.

The same as usual -- $10, whether you stay one day or both days of the show.

In regards to parking at our venue, the Plaza Hotel, these new rules come straight from Kelly Saito, the catering manager --

All guests who park at the Plaza Parking Garage can park for free for up to the first 90 minutes. After 90 minutes are up, the following applies:

$2 per hour for each hour after the first 90 minutes free. A maximum charge of $12 per day. Lost ticket is a $20 charge.

Hotel guests always park for free 24 hours a day.

Valet parking is complementary.

Sad to say I won't be able to attend CommVEx this year, I was really looking forward to it. I will be stuck in the Seattle area for a work trip the next couple of weeks that overlaps the convention.

I was really hoping to have made more progress on the second revision of my Clone-a-Dore board, getting it ready for a production run. But of course real life and my job keep getting in the way...I was also looking forward to the 30th anniversary of the 128. I recently picked up another clean C128D with a ton of original CP/M software that I wanted to bring.

Have fun!! Looking forward to seeing the photos and videos as they are posted!!

Heh, I will be in the Pacific NW, arriving July 29.

If you wish and are capable of doing it, you can film a video presentation the current state of your hardware, and then we can present that video at CommVEx.
