The deposit has been made! The Commodore Vegas Expo v11 2015 is coming on July 18-19 at the Plaza Hotel, 1 Main Street, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. To try and cure lighting problems and a.c. problems, we're moving to Jockey Room 1 (not Jockey Room 2 of the past 2 years). Mark your calendars and come to CommVEx v11 2015 as we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Commodore 128 and the Amiga!

Still in Las Vegas until Sunday,

Whoa! Yesterday I picked up more C= hardware from Maple Falls, Washington (just south of the Canadian border and near Mt. Baker). Expect to see some of that hardware at CommVEx v11 2015.

After discussion with the club today, the unanimous decision by the members was to continue CommVEx in the one Jockey Room for 2015 -- in other words, no second room or larger, costlier room to use. What swayed them was the need to be financially prudent with CommVEx expenses.

What if there was a donation from anonymous source(s) that paid the difference for a much larger room? Adding proper power is not an issue...

I would have to go into negotiation with the hotel again, with no guarantee that the deposit for Jockey Room 1 would be refunded and no guarantee that the larger Ballroom(s) would be available.

FCUG treasurer Dick Estel has made the generous offer of letting me use his fine Ford F150 truck to CommVEx. So instead of squeezing everything into my venerable Ford Crown Victoria, I'll be able to load C= goods into the pick-up truck bed and lock everything up with the hard tonneau cover. And there will still be room for myself and 5 passengers in the cabin. That means that if I need to pick anyone up from Las Vegas' McCarran Airport, they will be able to ride in spacious comfort.

The F150 has the power to easily climb the mountains between California and Nevada, and has the easy ability to use Nevada's gasoline with its higher percentage of alcohol (gasohol).

Less worries,

Would people be interested in a presentation on programming the MAX machine?
Or is that too esoteric a commodore thing?

Though I am no programmer, the other programmers in the audience would be interested, and of course, the programmers who would watch the video of your presentation when it is posted to Youtube.
