C-64 DTV to be in KB toys in one week?

I was checking around for another DTV to hack, and no suprise, can't find any locally. Called a KB Toy store in Westland, Michigan, said they should have more in about a week. Interesting, Mammoth must be using up the ASICs they have left. According to posts on pestscii forums, there was a surplus. Or perhaps the teenager I talked to at KB Toys doesn't know squat!

Perhaps it is old new old stock (or NOS as they call it on eBay) that were found in warehouse somewhere? Regardless, if they're being sold in North America they will be NTSC which means they're first generation not the units people generally want to hack.

You can still find reasonably priced Hummer DTVs on eBay ($15-$20) and I think one of those would be a better choice.
