Re: statement

What is this supposed to mean? What specifically were you unable to comprehend? You asked a question and I not only told you how to find the answers to such questions for yourself, I even provided you with a link to the information you requested. What more should I have done? You responded with fei...

Actually, I'm not struggling with anything. Gambit had pointed out that a link you posted didn't work and I posted one that did. Everything that has come since then is redundant.

You go to Google and you enter "Ray Carlsen" and hit "Google Search". The very first link Google provides is for Ray's website . It really is that simple. I'm all for helping people out and answering questions but I firmly believe that people should make an effort to help themsel...

Don't use eBay as an indicator of price or value. Bids and selling prices fluctuate wildly based on how big of an idiot you're able to snag.

I have no idea how many 1581s are out there but prices tend to be on the high side especially for in-the-box units. Your best, and most affordable bet, is to get a 1581 kit from JPPBM and adding your own disk drive.

I suppose it does function as expected if you expect it to produce a 404 error and then redirect the user to the front page.

That's why I just bookmark the auction and check in periodically. We discussed that auction at the TPUG meeting last night and the consensus was that he's going to have to drop his price by at least $500 to generate interest and perhaps twice that to sell it.

It looks like the guy relisted the CBM 8296 at a lower price ($2000 USD) and still, no takers. It wonder how low he's going to go before someone bites. It would be quite amusing if he sold it at a loss. <fingers crossed> (I know that's mean. I don't like speculators who drive prices up.)
