Cottonwood BBS is still up and running, but it's not on port 23 anymore. I moved it to port 6400 about a year ago.

Cottonwood BBS has returned ... again!
I just wanted to let everyone know that after about a year and a half of being down due to a hard drive failure, I finally got Cottonwood BBS back up and running. The user account file is still in tact, so if you had an account before it was taken down, you won't need to sign up for a new account. T...

Re: Borderline BBS - DIAL-UP!!!
After a few years of downtime, as of today, Borderline BBS has returned as the world's only dial-up BBS running on a C64! So dust off your modem and give it a call! The new number is 1-951-652-1690. Running 24/7 at 300/1200 baud. It's a truly 80s telecommunications experience!

Wow! Issue 60? When Nigel first started making this magazine, I really didn't expect it to last... I'm glad he's kept up with it.

Re: Commodore BBS who is left
The best place to find a current list of Commodore BBSs is the Commodore BBS Outpost at http://cbbsoutpost.servebbs.com. Well, the list shows that Andrew's BBS's -- Borderline, Cottonwood, and Cottonwood II -- are down. He's moved and is on active military duty. Truly, Yes, my boards are down until...

Re: Commodore 1351 mouse on a PC
I don't think it's possible to use a 1351 mouse on a PC. The 1351 was designed specifically to connect to the joystick port on a Commodore 64 or 128. I guess the only way to use it on a PC would be to create some kind of adapter so the PC can understand the 1351's "language". I suppose the...

Re: Rear Admiral ThunderDrive released!
So this is a CMD HD clone from the same guy that made the Lt Kernal clone? Amazing! I was thinking about buying one of his drives, and now I'll have to decide which one I want.
Any idea what he's going to clone next? FD-2000?

Re: Monitors for 80 col mode
The 1901, 1902, 1902A, 1080, 1084, and 1084S are probably the earliest Commodore monitors that supported the C128's 80-column mode. You can find info on all Commodore monitors at this website, about mid-way down the page: http://zimmers.net/cbmpics/

Does FCUG have an Educator 64? Could be a nice addition to the FCUG collection, not to mention something cool to show off at CommVEx.

Re: Commodore Educator 64 for auction eBay
That's a nice find! Too bad it's not in working condition, but I'm sure that with some troubleshooting, it could be repaired. Whoever gets this is going to have a neat "toy" to play with.
